Perfect night!!! Food was excellent. Staff was professional and super friendly. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and the staff made it so memorable. The charred octopus is a must try. Even surprised us with complimentary champagne. 🥂
Haven't been back in years since doing goggle reviews so it's been a long time. Classic bar setting and cozy dining room with attentive staff. We came for our wedding anniversary which we reserved through OpenTable. The place was pretty empty for the beginning of the work week. We ordered a couple of appetizer such as the maple glazed bacon and charred Spanish octopus. The bacon was unique with it's presentation style and offered a couple of dipping sauces on top of already being extremely flavorful. The charred octopus was good as well. We ordered porterhouse for two served medium with a side of creamed spinach. The steak was delicious! We got a complementary dessert for our anniversary so we ordered a cappuccino and an espresso shot to complement the our dessert.
For the average person, this is a restaurant you would go for a birthday, anniversary or other celebration because it is expensive but, it's delicious. The service is a mazing, Sergio our waiter made us feel so comfortable. This is a Steak house, get the steak. We had the tomahawk steak and it was amazing. We also had the Wagyu meatballs which were pretty good and baked clams. I would say pass on the baked clams and get them at your favorite Italian restaurant.
Everything was good. Had the Crab cake, chard octopus and wagyu meatballs for appetizers. I definitely recommend them but they are expensive for the portions. The bread on the table was okay nothing special.
For the main meal I had the chicken marsala which was pretty good. All the sides need to be purchased separately so I ordered the lobster mac and cheese. Was tasty as well. My sister had the truffle burger. I wanted to order a burger but the menu says medium rare only which was a little disappointing but I understand this is a steakhouse so I adjusted accordingly.
Dessert had the cream brûlée which was delicious.
Overall a good experience, for a family of 4 adults the bill was 500 dollars without tip. If it was maybe 3/4 the price I could rationalize the cost. Otherwise this will probably be a one and done experience.
I was overall pretty disappointed with my dinner here. The ambience and service are good but not outstanding and all of the food just tasted mehhh and felt very overpriced. I’ve eaten at more expensive places and far cheaper places that have both been more enjoyable and provided overall better value. The flavor and taste of the food really just doesn’t justify the costs. All of the things we tried were good enough but not great or outstanding. The steak and other items had great presentation but the tastes and textures fell flat and were bland. Seemed like there was no seasoning on anything. The Brussels sprouts were the most interesting thing we had and even that felt like a ripoff for the small portion of a side dish that costs almost as much as an entree at some takeout places that taste better.
While the prices were a bit on the high side, the quality of the food truly impressed me.
The restaurant's menu offered a variety of tantalizing options, and I couldn't help but be excited to try a few dishes. From the appetizers to the main courses and desserts, the culinary experience was nothing short of delightful. Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing a combination of flavors and ingredients that made my taste buds dance with delight.
However, I must admit that the prices were a bit steep. Dining here may not be the most budget-friendly option, and it's something to consider if you're watching your wallet. Nonetheless, I found that the quality and taste of the food justified the cost to a certain extent. It's the kind of place I would reserve for special occasions or when I'm willing to splurge a little for an exceptional dining experience.
In summary, this restaurant may be a little expensive, but the food is undeniably great. If you're looking for a treat or a memorable meal, it's worth a visit, even if it means stretching your budget a bit.
Place definitely has that old school bar steak house vibes. Went there for my son's graduation, the waiter was a professional cool dude. Got two steaks, the salmon, a few sides and two desserts. If you're looking for some real steak 15 minutes away from flushing main street, this is the place to go.
Authentic steakhouse in Bayside! Family oriented restaurant that is perfect for special occasions.
Location: It is located in Bayside. The restaurant is cozy and lot of seatings. There is street parking and also municipal parking nearby.
Service: Our server is nice, he kept asking if we are enjoying the food and if we need anything.
Food: PRIME BONE IN FILET MINON: the steak was well cooked, it was juicy as well. They asked you if you need fresh ground black pepper. My only thing is that you have to order the side separately. For the amount of the steak its quite pricey. STEAK FRIES: perfectly fried and it was crispy. LOBSTER MAC and CHEESE: omg this was the bomb! It was soo good! There are bits of lobster and the cheese is so gooey good! WAGYU KOBE MEATBALLS: another good food here! The meatballs are juicy and the sauce is a perfect match! JACK’S SHRIMP SCAMPI: the shrimps are cooked perfectly, but the sauce is the the star of the dish!
Price rating: 9/10, bit pricey for a steak. You have to buy the side separately.
Will come back here and maybe order the other steak that they have. Order the lobster mac and cheese! It was soo good!
